GLASSING PAD

Finally, a pad that doesn't slide around on wet grass. The lightweight insulation makes a real difference when you're prone for an hour glassing a canyon. My knees and elbows are thanking me after a long morning.

I was skeptical about how much difference a simple pad could make, but after a morning on a damp ridgeline I was a convert. It’s just thick enough to take the bite out of sharp rocks, and it folds up small enough to stash in a pack pocket.

The closed-cell foam kept my backside perfectly dry on the dew-soaked morning grass while I glassed the valley. It’s noticeably lighter than my old foam pad, and the extra cushioning made a real difference on that rocky ridgeline.
